Carlson Hotels Worldwide – Asia Pacific announced the launch of Radisson Resort and Spa, Alibaug on 17 April, 2008. The property is developed by Pune based Sahil Group with an investment of Rs 150 crore. The hotel has teamed up with MSpa International which will introduce the Mandara Spa in India.

“This will be Alibaug’s first star category hotel and with close proximity to Mumbai and Pune, we expect to attract an eclectic mix of tourists ranging from leisure travellers to corporate and business travelers,” says K B Kachru, Executive Director – RHW Hotel Management Services Ltd. The 144 room hotel offers rooms, suites and villas, a range of facilities for MICE travelers along with a  24 hour coffee chop, and speciality restaurants offering regional and international cuisines.

“The brand has been positioned for the premium luxury segment, and the facilities provided will be a mixture of a business and leisure hotel. The expected length of stay is approximately three days,” says Ronnie Lobo, Vice President Operations, RHW Hotel Management Services Limited.  The marketing strategies will rely on the Global Distribution System (GDS) of Carlson Hotel Worldwide, which currently operates 28 hotels in India.
